百万心脏®全国营养月活动——减盐不减滋味

百万心脏®全国营养月®2017活动鼓励美国人降低钠摄入,选择健康饮食。一个月内,参与者将分享减钠资源和调味技能。百万心脏®是一项全国性计划,于2011年发起,其主要目的是促进所有美国公民的心血管健康,提供饮食关怀。该计划由美国疾病控制和预防中心(CDC)和美国医疗保险和医疗补助服务中心(CMS)。

 FDA食品标签使用“健康”表述的公开讨论会

2017年3月9日上午8:30至下午5:30,食品和药品管理局(FDA)举办了一场公开会议,专门讨论食品标签使用“健康”表述的问题。此次公开会议将为各相关方提供一次机会,专题研讨人类食品标签中使用“健康”词汇的问题。会议内容包括,会议介绍、利益相关方小组讨论,与会者可通过多个机会以口头表述和分组座谈方式表达自己的意见。不能亲临现场的相关方,可以通过网络在线直播方式参加会议。

Million Hearts® National Nutrition Month Campaign- Savor the Flavor with Less Salt

Million Hearts® National Nutrition Month® 2017 Campaign is encouraging Americans to reduce their sodium intake and make healthier meal choices.  All month long, they will be sharing resources and sodium-savvy tips to incorporate into meals.  Million Hearts®, launched in 2011, is a national initiative whose main goal is to improve cardiovascular health and care for all Americans.  It is co-led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

American Heart Association Tips to Lower Sodium

The American Heart Association (AHA) highlights nine tips on how to reduce sodium throughout the day as well as an infographic outlining meal swaps that reduce sodium.  Sodium reducing tips include adding fresh fruit and vegetables, comparing labels, not adding salt to meals, and cooking food at home.

FDA Public Meeting to Discuss Use of the Term “Healthy” in Food Labeling

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is holding a public meeting to discuss the use of the term “healthy” in the labeling of food products today, March 9, 2017 from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm.  The public meeting will give interested parties an opportunity to discuss the use of the term “healthy” in the labeling of human food products. The meeting format will include introductory presentations, stakeholder perspective panel sessions, and multiple opportunities for individuals to express their opinions through oral presentations and breakout sessions. Parties who are unable to participate in person will be able to join the meeting via live webcast.
